I want to be like Mike!

In my waking hours, I was thinking of how tonight will most likely be the last time we get to see the greatness of Michael Phelps swim in the Olympics. I was wondering what stupid question the interviewer will ask him this time. Seriously, do interviewers have to attend a special class to learn how to ask moronic questions?  I wondered if it will be the "What legacy do you want to leave behind?" or the "How do you feel?"  I realized, that just for once, I don't really care about hearing how Micheal Phelps feels. I would just love it if the interviewer was to not ask him a single question, but make him listen to tell him how I feel.

I would tell him thank you.

Thank you, Michael, for years of training and dedication to bring Americans a feeling of huge pride in your accomplishments. Thank you Micheal, for showing everyone that depression is evil. Teaching us that it can take down the very best, and even the greatest of the great sometimes have to ask for help from God and the people who serve Him to kick depression to the curb. By watching you struggle through depression, drug abuse, and suicidal thoughts, then seeking help, setting goals and once again accomplishing greatness, you have given many a sense of hope and power to accomplish dreams. The medals are nice, but I'm talking about confidence, knowledge of your self worth, and fulfilled dreams of a family full of love. You did it Micheal. Regardless of the outcome tonight, We are so very very proud of you.

What to do?

Marcus and Rosemary stopped by today to see how the repairs on their house were coming along. the place was in shambles, but is starting to come together nicely. It is hard to put together a house that has been aging for so long, because if it wasn't a really old house, then the walls would probably be straighter, and the paint would be a better quality, and well...let's just say the place looks like it was built by a muggle with no experience in house building. But...we just say it's because it's old. :-) Now we have reached a point where we needed to talk to Marcus about the rooms he would like to put in his house. We felt he could use a living room, and a kitchen, a room for him and Rosemary, and one for his son Cadmus and wife Hazel. Then we thought the children could use a room, but weren't sure if we needed a separate nursery for baby Electra or if she could share with older sister Hestia and brother Orion. Then we wondered about a designated bathroom. What to do, what to do?

We have 3 wall dividers, and JB suggested using an open fireplace concept to split the living and kitchen areas, which would free up on of the dividers to be used else where.

What ever happened to Marcus Flint?

Do you remember Marcus Flint?

 He was the Slytherin Chaser that was team captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team the year Draco Malfoy bought his way into the seeker position. He had really big crooked teeth and and a bad attitude. He helped Draco try to scare Harry during a Quidditch match by dressing up as a dementor. He was even held back an extra year because he didn't have the grades to graduate on time. After graduation, he disappeared. Nothing more was said about him, and no one knows what happened to him.


But now we do....

 JB caught up with Marcus as an older man.

It turns out that Marcus did the unthinkable for a Slytherin, and fell in love with a muggle named Rosemary. She was a florist who ran a small, portable flower kiosk.

 He really liked her,  When Marcus realized he wanted to marry Rosemary, He was terrified Voldemort would find him, so he had an orthodontist fix his teeth, which drastically changed his appearance, and went underground. Literally. He married Rosemary, who didn't know anything about him being a wizard, and spent the next 45 years masquerading as a muggle train conductor in the London Subway system.

Marcus and Rosemary had a son. We are not sure of his name yet, but his wife's name is Hazel. they have 3 children. The son did not display any magical abilities growing up, and so Marcus was able to hide is secret for quite awhile. But then, Hazel started coming around, and Marcus realized right away she was from a wizarding family, most likely a descendant of a Weasly somewhere, with that ginger hair and all. It was only when the grandchildren began demonstrating magical abilities that Marcus decided to come clean, and tell his wife and son about his past.

Now, with his eldest grand daughter getting ready to receive her letter to Hogwarts, Marcus decided it was time to move the family back to the family home. It has been abandoned for a loooong time, and is basically in ruins. It will need a ground up restoration. We have been told there used to be a ghoul in the attic, and probably a house elf or two around, but we haven't seen them yet.

Marcus would like to contact the house elves so he could have them help with the house, but he can't seem to remember their names.
