Biking with Brent

I know there are a lot of cities in the world that are famous for various reasons. Paris has the Eiffel Tower, Dubai City has fancy hotels, Sydney has a beautiful Opera house. But none of these cities has BRENT.
Brent is the ICON of Logantown. He can be seen daily riding his bicycle all over, and if there is a parade in town you know you will see him there. He will wave and honk his bike horn, and smile, and make you feel happy to be alive.

A few weeks ago, My former employers, Cache Employment and Training Center held their third annual Bike with Brent event. For a small registration fee you got a t shirt and a pin, and were invited to watch a pie eating contest,

participate in a bike rodeo, and watch the Cache County Sheriffs take on North Logan Fire department in a game of bike polo.

Then you got to ride/walk around the block with Brent a few times. All of the proceeds from this event help CETC assist more folks with disabilities. This year JB and I decided to give it a go.

I was surprised at how many of the people there I remembered...

Look closely to the left of this photograph and you may recognize the strained gait of my friend Nicky  (tan shorts) as he is being assisted around the block.

Our old buddy Bluecher (I gotta go)

And JB got to see Big Blue.

But the man of the hour was Brent.
