Every year summer flies by and I wonder where it went. This year, summer will fly by, and I will have a photographic record of where it went by joining in on the Summer Bucket List Challenge offered by The
Happy Family Movement. I heard about this challenge from the
Nifty Natalie Norton, who challenged everyone to put their photos on instagram to document how much fun they had during the break from the drudgery of school life. I read about it and thought, what can it hurt? Between Bill heading out all over the country for months at a time, and JB actively denying she misses her best friend, our house has been fairly grumspy dumpsy lately, and by that I mean for at least the last year. When I told JB about this, and asked her what she wanted to do this summer, she rolled her eyes and said: (Words must be read in the most spiteful, I am better than you cuz your ideas suck, snotty, pre-teenager voice you can muster)
"You can do whatever, but I'm not going to do it." and "What's the point, we only have 5 weeks of vacation anyway."
Right. So 5 weeks of sitting in the basement staring at the wall. Sounds great. I can hardly wait.
Well JB, in reality, your math skills are as good as your mother's because we have 11 weeks of vacation, and I'm not going to sit around the house watching you mope like the Dumpsy Diva. So, it looks like our family summer bucket list is going to be MY summer bucket list for the time being. Tonight I will make a list of the fun stuff I want to do, and maybe, just maybe, Jb will come along. If not, well, she'll miss one helluvah good time. So what are you gonna do this summer?

I vote use Bill's miles to come to NC. We'll go to the beach.
