Lenten Stones

If you have been following this blog on a daily basis, you have seen that each day contains a "Lenten task" that was written by our Pastor Susan Springer. The idea is that each day in Lent we do something that will bring us one step closer to God, and to Easter. To help the children understand this concept a bit more, she has expanded this idea to literal "stepping stones" the ushers lay out onto the church floor each Sunday morning. They then read the stones aloud, and actually step on them. Each Sunday new stones from the week before are added, and eventually the path will wind it's way to the Alter by Easter morning.
